Work experience is essential to future sucess and opportunity. We have a blended approach to prepare our students for the workplace and Higher Education.
Our full time course includes performing in school and professional shows, producing (school and proffessional shows), business management, creating your brand as a creative, and working with mentors from real theatre and events companies. Every student graduates with not only their qualifications, but a website, CV (with a minimum of two professional credits) headshots, and a showreel.
In some cases students will undertake paid work experience with companies such as Omni Theatre. They will also have the option of being in two agencies (one for background/extra work, and one for film, TV and stage roles). Artemis students have appeared on the West End stage, and in film and television (such as Dr Who, Justice League, Call the Midwife) and national and international tours.
We work towards shows, events and qualifications, as well as giving a thorough grounding in the essentials. We can help build CV's ready for University and Dance/Drama school Higher Education applications using links with local and national theatre companies and casting directors, as well as our own agency.
We also help learners prepare for university and dance/drama school auditions at Medusa Pro on Thursday evenings - selecting work and polishing. Guest workshops with university specialists including Royal Holloway and Royal Central School of Speech and Drama offer classes in UCAS applications, personal statements, student finance and sample university acting and musical theatre classes.
Our tutors use their knowledge of the industry, as well as their connections to help learners move into the next stage of their career with confidence.
